Thanksgiving Charity Event - Art From the Heart

The Family learning house hosted its annual thanksgiving charity dinner, barn dance, and auction, raising 120,000RMB to be shared by the first kindergarten for blind children in Tibet and Chun Miao Orphanage.

Family Learning House children painted several paintings during school that were then auctioned off during the evening. For some paintings the children were blindfolded and then asked to paint what it might feel like to be blind. Other paintings were inspired by the children's own interests.

The 'Flower Power' chair was hand-painted by the children and auctioned for 16,000 RMB.

A wonderful time was had by all; good food, good friends and a good cause.
